What science ideas did you learn?
This week in science we learned a lot about movement and motion! On Monday we learned more about graphs, physical quantity, and possible units. For example, temperature is the physical quantity and degrees Celsius is the possible unit. This week we also learned how to express different motions and speeds using a graph. We also learned how to express negative time on a graph. Mostly this week we created and discussed about graphs.
How did you learn these ideas?
We learned these ideas by creating, discussing and experimenting. We created many graphs, we discussed our graphs with our table mates and the class, and we experiment on Friday, using a motion detector type of thing. (I forget what it is called!)
Why is it important to know this idea?
It is important to know all these ideas of motion because we need to understand how and why things move. We also need to understand what is moving and how we can tell i that object is really moving or not.
